About us
Our service, National Driving School (NDS), has many experienced instructors trained in teaching successful driving lessons. Our main goals at NDS are to inform and educate our customers about all aspects of road safety, understanding the developing traffic situations, driving rules, pedestrians and more.
At National Driving School, we work with our local partner instructors in your local neighbourhoods, and our instructors are ADIs, PDI and some Grade A’s. All our driving instructors at NDS are also approved through CRB checks and have signed the Code of Conduct.
At NDS, we prioritise the driving test standards in each driving lesson we deliver. Alongside supervising, our driving instructors at NDS ensure that these standards meet each lesson to achieve the end goal.
Every pupil at NDS ensures that targeted learning takes place in each driving lesson. We pride ourselves on building positive relationships with our students and our lessons being excellent value for money.
Our governing body is the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and we ensure that all our Driving Instructors adhere to their policies and regulations. We follow the best guidelines and practices for coaching people to drive.

NDS Professionals deliver our Driving Lessons on one to one basis. We ensure confidentiality is prioritised and do not allow passengers or any other learners in the car unless agreed with the student agreement for training purposes.

Covid -19 update
Driving lessons will resume from 12th April for all pupils following the government guideline. The following Covid 19 measures are in place for the safety of the pupil and the driving instructors. These includes:
Driving instructors:
All instructors will declare whether they are Covid 19 symptoms-free at the beginning of each lesson. We will ensure all instructors have face masks available during the day should they need to wear one. We will have the car windows halfway down during the lesson to keep them ventilated.
Covid 19 declaration for all pupils:
You must only book lessons if you are Covid 19 symptoms-free. For more information on symptoms, visit the NHS website (Coronavirus (COVID-19): guidance and support) for more details and advice. Be aware we will ask you at the beginning of the lesson if you are symptom-free. The driving Instructor can refuse to give you a lesson if you are unwell.
PPE:
Please follow government guidelines and speak to your Driving Instructor if unsure. Wearing a face mask is essential.
All pupil must wash their hands before and after every lesson. Please avoid touching your face and eyes during the lesson, and hand sanitiser will be available in the classes.
Preparation of the car:
We will do everything possible to keep the pupil and ourselves safe during the lesson. We will ensure the car surfaces are disinfected, such as door handles, seats, seat belts, hand brakes, gear, armrests etc.
Communication during the lesson:
The driving Instructor will avoid facing you in the car due to Covid 19 but will look forward while communicating with you.
The Instructor may ask you to step out of the car once parked safely to explain the faults or communicate something vital to you about your driving.
